Who is the trial for?

The FOCUS trial is for people who have not been treated with chemotherapy since their colorectal cancer returned or spread. They may have had chemotherapy after their initial surgery, when the cancer was first diagnosed.

There are different factors that your doctor will take into account to make sure that the trial works well and is suitable for you. It must be at least six months since you had previous treatment and you must be well enough to receive chemotherapy. You must not have been treated previously with oxaliplatin or irinotecan.
