The Milky Way Ski Challenge 2005

27th – 30th January 2005

Join us on this amazing Ski Challenge weekend in the internationally renowned Milky Way ski region. We will ski 150 kilometres downhill (95 miles approx) covering all 5 areas of the region, which boasts a wide range of truly excellent slopes & spectacular scenery. If you want to push yourself to new limits & help raise money for those affected by cancer, then this challenge is for you.

Your package includes

Sponsorship
We require each participant to pay a non-refundable entry fee of £100 and then raise a minimum of £1,200 in sponsorship and send it to CancerBACUP by the 19th January 2005.  Please note that your registration fee does not form part of your sponsorship total.

Conditions of entry
All participants must be at least 18 years old at departure date and be competent on ‘red runs’. 

At least Level 4 on the Ski Assessment Form which can be downloaded from the registration page or contact CancerBACUP for a copy. Snowboarders should have a minimum of eight weeks experience. All participants must follow our trained guides.

Experience and fitness
As with all events of this kind, a lack of training could lead to accidents. As you will be covering 150 kilometres (@95 miles) on the Challenge, the fitter you are, the more you will get out of it. You will ski/board in groups of 10, with one ski guide per group. Each group will contain participants of a similar level and will ski the route according to the ability of the group.
