- Joanne Laver raised £600 in aid of CancerBACUP in memory of her dad, David Laver.
“As soon as I sat on the edge of the plane before ‘sliding’ off, I thought to myself ‘you wanted to do this girl so make the most of it’, and that was it, I was off. We free falled for about 45 seconds and that was at a speed of 140 mph. It was amazing, extremely fast but I was not frightened at all. Then the parachute opened and the feeling of floating down to earth which I think took about 10 minutes was something out of this world. It was actually a fantastic feeling. It was so quiet that my trainer and I were just having a normal conversation on the way down. I have never known anything so peaceful… I am so proud of myself for doing this for the charity and must admit I had a little chat with Dad whilst I was at about 10,000 feet. I hope he was there watching me but I know he would be proud of me. Mum and I want to thank everybody who has taken an interest and sponsored me for the jump. It is very much appreciated.”
- Esther Wilson raised £220 from her parachute jump.
“I would just like to say thank you for letting me raise money on behalf of such a worthy cause, and it was a truly unforgettable experience….that I’m dying to repeat!”

“I woke up at 3 o’clock on the morning, so I was well awake when my time came to do the jump! The jump itself was amazing and it was wonderful to see the Fife countryside spread out below me. It was so fantastic I wanted to go up and do it again. I would recommend it to everyone.”
