A huge ‘thank you and congratulations’ to the hundreds of runners who have taken part in running events on behalf of CancerBACUP. We are always impressed with the enthusiasm and commitment shown by people who run for us – it really is wonderful to know that you support our work and want to help us to develop to meet the increasing demand for our services.

The Cahill Partnership
Julie Cahill, Lorraine Lane, Vivien Rhys and Yvonne Sadowski ran in the Flora Light Challenge for Women in Hyde Park and raised a fantastic £1,152. Julie said:
“We hope that this money will help in some small way to enable CancerBACUP to carry on with the excellent service they provide… We look forward to taking on another challenge to raise money in the near future.”

Nationwide
Employees from Nationwide took part in the Great South Run 2004, in Portsmouth for CancerBACUP. This contributed to the total of £23,000 which Nationwide have raised for CancerBACUP as their charity of the year.

Hannah Gregory Hannah raised £684 for CancerBACUP when she ran the Great North Run 2004. "It was amazing to be able to participate in such an excellent event and raise money for CancerBACUP at the same time!"

Lynne Gilbertson Lynne ran the Great North Run 2004 and has raised £582. "I had been poorly previous to the Run and didn’t think I would make it  – Karen my daughter stayed with me all of the time and encouraged me all of the way – Girl Power eh?… Roll on 2005 Great North Run.”

Steve Dainty ran the Stratford half-marathon for CancerBACUP in April 2004 and raised £349.52 for his efforts.
