Follow up

After your treatment has finished, your doctor will want you to have regular check-ups. If you have had a partial cystectomy or radiotherapy you will have regular cystoscopies and x-rays. These will usually be done every 3-6 months at first and will continue for several years.

If you have any problems or notice any new symptoms between appointments, let your doctor know as soon as possible.

For people whose treatment is over apart from regular check-ups, CancerBACUP’s section on adjusting to life after cancer gives useful advice on how to keep healthy and adjust to life after cancer.
