How to contact the Cancer Information Service

If you are a UK resident:

Most emails are answered within two working days, but other more complex ones take longer. It may take longer over the holiday period.

Information to include when contacting us

Including the following information will help us fully answer your questions:

  • Whether it is yourself, or a family member or friend who has cancer
  • The age and sex of the person with cancer
  • Where the person with cancer lives (this helps us to know if there are any appropriate services in the area)
  • Where the cancer started (primary site)
  • Whether the cancer has spread, and if so where to (secondary sites)
  • What treatment has already been given
  • Your specific questions or concerns

Non-UK residents

If you are not resident in the UK then you can find out about organisations that might be able to help in your country.
