Cancer and older people

This section aims to give information and support to older people diagnosed with cancer, and their families. It aims to answer some of the questions you may have about the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and help you to deal with some of the feelings you may have. Other sources of support and information are given, which we hope you will find useful.

We can’t advise you about the best treatment for yourself because this information can only come from your own doctor, who knows your full medical history.

If you find that this information helps you, you could let your family and friends know about it. They may want information so they can help you cope with any problems you may have.
