Cancer Information Service

Freephone helpline 0808 800 1234

If you need information about cancer or its treatment, one of our specialist cancer nurses will answer your call, letter or email.

They can give you information about all types and aspects of cancer including: diagnosis, treatment, symptom control, clinical trials, support groups, where to get help and every other facet of coping with cancer

They can also send you booklets written specifically for cancer patients, most of the information in which can be viewed in full on this site. These high quality printed publications can be obtained from CancerBACUP.

UK patients, their relatives and friends can telephone, email or write to our London address – we respond promptly to every enquiry.

Our lines are open Monday to Thursday 9am -8pm and Friday 9am-5.30pm. Because the service is so much in demand, the lines are often busy. If that happens to you, please try again, write or email.
