Cancerbackup 10K Fun Run – London

Sunday 15 June 2008 – Regents Park

Cancerbackup men's 10K runner

Congratulations to all the runners that took part in Cancerbackup 10K Fun Run in Regents Park.

It was fantastic to see so many of our supporters running to help raise awareness of male cancers on Fathers Day. We were blessed with beautiful weather once again and Regents Park was looking beautiful in the sunshine.

The Difference Is You!

By taking part in the run you have helped Cancerbackup raise awareness of male cancers. In the time it takes most of you to complete the race, 10 more men in the UK would have been diagnosed with cancer. You have supported one man for every kilometre you ran.

Every stride you took and every penny you raise will help take Cancerbackup further towards reducing the fear of cancer by enabling the charity to provide information, understanding and support to anyone affected by cancer.

This Fathers Day was a day to remember!

Cancerbackup would like to say a special thanks to Maurice Raynor and the Mornington Chasers race club for their support and help on the day with the course. Also thanks to our water sponsors Highland Spring.

Race times can be downloaded from below:

Please send all sponsorship money (cheques made payable to Cancerbackup) and any donations to the event to: Cancerbackup, 3 Bath Place, Rivington Street, London, EC2A 3JR.

Information on next year’s fun run will follow in due course.

Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson

“I always think I could overcome any challenge, but when you are faced with cancer you need all the help you can get. That’s why I’m supporting Cancerbackup, as the charity supports thousands of people affected by cancer by providing information and advice. Join me by taking part or sponsoring someone at this event, so that Cancerbackup can reach more people that need their help.”
