CancerBACUP’s cancer information service provides confidential, accurate and up to date information about any aspect of cancer.
How to contact the Cancer Information Service
If you are a UK resident:
- Phone the UK freephone helpline on 0808 800 1234 (Opening hours)
- Post or fax an enquiry
- Email an enquiry
- Visit a CancerBACUP local centre
Most emails are answered within two working days, but other more complex ones take longer. It may take longer over the holiday period.
Information to include when contacting us
Including the following information will help us fully answer your questions:
- Whether it is yourself, or a family member or friend who has cancer
- The age and sex of the person with cancer
- Where the person with cancer lives (this helps us to know if there are any appropriate services in the area)
- Where the cancer started (primary site)
- Whether the cancer has spread, and if so where to (secondary sites)
- What treatment has already been given
- Your specific questions or concerns
