Contact Cancerbackup's specialist cancer nurses to get confidential, accurate and up to date information about any aspect of cancer.

  • Phone our freephone helpline on 0808 800 1234 (Mon–Fri 9am–8pm). The helpline number is also free from these mobile phone networks: 3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin, Vodafone when calls are made from the UK.

Information to include when contacting us

Including the following information will help us fully answer your questions:


Nurses on our helpline
  • Whether it is yourself, or a family member or friend who has cancer
  • The age and sex of the person with cancer
  • Where the person with cancer lives (this helps us to know if there are any appropriate services in the area)
  • Where the cancer started (primary site)
  • Whether the cancer has spread, and if so where to (secondary sites)
  • What treatment has already been given
  • Your specific questions or concerns

Non-UK residents

If you are not resident in the UK then you can find out about organisations that might be able to help in your country.
